The first Almost Athletes race of 2010 was the 2.2 mile or 4.2 mile Linda Franks road race. This annual race was well attended and it is hoped that the everyone enjoyed the experience. Congratulations to all the runners. Particular thanks to everyone who assisted in any way including marshalling, making teas, baking excellent cakes, donating raffle prizes, organising and cleaning up afterwards.

Linda Franks 2010 Winners

The club congratulates everyone who completes the course and thanks them for taking part. It also takes pleasure in awarding prizes for category winners and a small selection of photos are shown below.

Liza Barry of CLC Striders who was the second female winner in the 4.2 mile race.

Steve Milward of Gloucester Athletic Club who was the overall winner in the 4.2 mile race.

Richard Dare of CLC Striders who was the third male winner in the 4.2 mile race.

Jacob Pickering of Cheltenham Harriers who was awarded a random spot prize for an excellent effort in the Junior Male class of the 4.2 mile race.

Claudia Ovens who was the first girl winner in the 2.2 mile race.
