Anthony Bailey has consistently excelled at all distances and became the first AA to complete a marathon in under 3 hours
(2.57, Gloucester) - well done Anthony! Julie Bridge is working hard to improve her times
(she recently completed the Disney marathon in a PB of 4.03) and has raised £10,000 for the Alzheimer's Society.
|
This month's winners are: Nick Spice who is consistently improving his race times and having a go
at all distances; and Colin Watkins - one of our Group Leaders - who always puts in 100% and is a
great source of help and encouragement to fellow runners.
|
Two hard working ladies win this month's award: Alison Hume's focus and dedication
to training paid off with a sub 4 hour finishing time (3.58) at this year's Brighton
marathon. Cos Pearson has cheerfully taken on all race distances, including marathons,
and improved enormously.
|
Well done to our trio of achievers this month: Sandra Stuart for taking on all race distances up
to and including the Shakespeare marathon, Graham Fletcher for all round improvement due to dedicated
training, and Martin Clifford for leading and encouraging his runners in the new successful 4 mile group.
|
Due to massive improvements in recent race times this month's winners are Barry Walker
(shaved 10 mins off his 10K time) and Eddie Munro (down to 42.39 for a 10K) who also
helped out with the club's DCC race.
|
Congratulations on recent race achievements to Paul Thomas who beat the train in Wales
and came 1st at the Cirencester 5K and to Katie Coleman whose speed helped the mixed
relay team gain 1st place at the JW Ultra.
|
A huge pat on the back to Iris White who has achieved a sub 2 hour PB at both Cardiff
and Stroud half marathons. And well done to John Galpin for his constant encouragement
