Venue Route GuideCross Hands, BrockworthTurn left out of X Hands Turn left at roundabout Cross road opposite lane to Roman Villa Follow lane up towards Villa – REGROUP at car park Thru gate along path between Villa & farm Thru gate, keep left across paddock to stile Over stile, up track to join Cotswold Way - REGROUP Left along CW for approx 1 mile – REGROUP Continue along CW for 0.5 mile – REGROUP where path splits Take left fork; after c100 yds, turn left down path to gate Straight ahead across field, follow wood on right REGROUP at gate; then straight ahead – aiming for Great Witcombe lakes Turn left to go thru kissing gate, then thru field, keeping right (muddy patch) REGROUP at kissing gate, turn right onto lane After church, 1st left into lane & then right over stile at end of hedge Follow path thru 2 fields & stiles to lake Turn left, along “causeway” between lakes Turn right just before cottage & follow path along lakeside Thru hedge to follow path across 2 fields, go left at hedge REGROUP at lane from Villa – turn right Cross road at end of lane – turn left Back to X Hands Approx 5.5 miles |
