Runners of the Month 2009

Ken Sears and Anne-Marie Willicott
Ken Sears has earned his slot this month by winning his age group in the Gloucestershire Road Race Series 2008 - well done Ken! Anne-Marie Willicott also had a great year with a string of PBs including her New York Marathon 3.46
Aet, Julie bridge and Gerry Simpkins
Congratulations to Art Williams (aka Grumpy), Julie Bridge and Gerry Simpkins for completing the Disney Goofy Race and a Half Challenge consisting of a half marathon and a full marathon on the same weekend - madness! Well done to you all.
Fiona Judson and Evan Stanley
Congratulations to Evan Stanley and Fiona Judson for their recent achievements: Evan for his 2 hour 38 run in the Gloucester 20 and Fiona for completing the Grizzly 9 mile Cub race after a long period of injury. Also thanks to both for being generally cheerful and encouraging to other members!
Dale Midwinter
Congratulations to Dale Midwinter on completing the Reading Half Marathon in sub 1.30 (just about!). Dale has signficantly improved on his race times despite a persistent knee injury. Also well done to Ingrid Harris who manages to juggle raising a young family with running great races, including the Forest of Dean Half in 1.40.
Nicki Perrott and Martin Workman
We are honouring Nicki Perrott this month for her 2 hour half marathon time at Tewkesbury after months of rehabilitation and recovery following a crusciate ligament operation. Also well done to Martin Workman for his consistent effort at marathon level and for his general helpfulness within the club.
Ali
Congratulations to Ali Shaikh (aka Captain America) for improving on his race times and for his performance at the recent Frampton 10K. He also does a sterling job as a marshall for the club!
Nikki Weatherley and Rob Hume
Well done to new member Nikki Weatherley who has certainly made an impression by consistently winning the FV35 category in recent races and to our resident photographer Rob Hume who has come back from a foot injury to perform well in recent off road races.
Debbie Bishop and Dave Elliott
Dave Elliott knocked an incredible 40 minutes off his previous time at the New Forest Marathon this year and has been doing some great work on the club website and membership records. Debbie Bishop has been working hard to improve her times and had a great race at the Budapest half marathon.
Ellen Kenny and Phil Withers
Congratulations to Phil Withers and Ellen Kenny for gaining great half marathon PBs recently (Phil managed to equal a time he set 20 years ago!) and for their consistent improvement.
